Wool Fisherman's Toque
Wool Fisherman's Toque
There's a reason why fishermen wore hats like this while out on the water: Wind nipping at your ears? Fold it down! Wind died down and it's starting to warm up? Fold it back up! Not to mention, wool is the ultimate insulator, even when wet.
Ordering
We are operating on a made-to-order model to eliminate unnecessary overproduction and ensure we are being as sustainable in our production as possible. At this time please allow at least 2 weeks for production(though we aim to finish all orders before 2 weeks!), and shipping time will be dependent on your location.
Material
All of our toques are handmade with 100% wool yarn and will take you from Autumn to Spring. The wool yarn we are using is primarily made of Canadian wool and is sourced within Canada from various suppliers, colour dependent.
Please note: Images of completed toques on this page were from previous seasons where we were also working with a wool blend yarn so they do not depict current colour options.
Currently Sunshine, Sprout and Navy Blue options are unavailable due to supply shortage. This will be updated once we are able to get the yarn from our supplier again.

Care
Wool is naturally anti-bacterial so airing your hat out should be enough, but if washing is needed do the following:
- Machine wash using wool setting or hand wash in warm water (no more than 40°C)
- Use wool specific detergent like woolite or no detergent at all
- Lightly squeeze out excess water by folding in a towel, then lay flat to dry - do not tumble dry or else your hat may begin to felt and shrink
